Terms of Service
Effective October 21, 2026 · Phase 1 beta
Agreement
By using Vagabond (“the app”), operated by Mongadillo Studios (“we”, “us”), you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the app.
Age
You must be 17 or older to use Vagabond. We do not knowingly allow younger users.
Your account
- You’re responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure.
- One account per person. No bots, no automated accounts, no impersonation.
- We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
What you can’t do
Specifically, don’t:
- Upload illegal content, including but not limited to child sexual abuse material (CSAM). We scan every photo upload against licensed hash databases and report matches to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) as required by U.S. law.
- Harass, threaten, dox, or stalk other users.
- Upload content you don’t have the right to share.
- Try to break the app, scrape content at scale, or reverse engineer the backend.
- Use Vagabond for commercial promotion without written permission.
- Fake your location to pretend to be somewhere you’re not.
Your content
You own what you post. By posting, you grant Vagabond a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute your content within the app only — so other travelers can see your check-ins and photos on the map. We don’t sublicense your content to third parties for marketing or any other use.
If you delete your content, our license to use it ends when the deletion propagates (within 30 days).
Moderation
We may remove content or terminate accounts that violate these terms. We try to be fair, but ultimately we make the call. If you think we got it wrong, email us.
No warranty
Vagabond is provided “as is.” We don’t promise the app is error-free, always available, or that information you see is accurate — the content is user-generated and may be wrong, stale, or misleading. Use your judgment. Especially use your judgment about personal safety when visiting a place because someone else said it was good.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mongadillo Studios is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app. If we are liable, our total liability is limited to the amount you’ve paid us in the preceding 12 months (which, for a free app with optional tips, is likely zero).
Changes
We may change these terms. If we materially change them, we’ll notify you by email and in the app before the change takes effect. Continued use after the change means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the state of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
